Hi David...I am contemplating writing a serial so wanted to view and read an example. Having sifted through a good few 'paranormal' stories, I chose yours. I only read the first twelve chapters not- realising how long it was to be! I found it easy to read, interesting enough for me to want to know more. The characters and basic storyline satisfied and overall it is a decenrt piece of writing. The only reasons I didnt read on are time restraint and the fact that I'm a very fussy reader. I liked the idea of the race/social comment but I was impatiento get to what was actually behind the boiler!
