The subscription price is slightly cheaper than the purchase price of each published book, and many of the chapters for the novel are entirely free. You should be able to read the paid for chapters within a month and unsubscribe if you do not wish it to renew! 
Though I hope you determine my work to be worth staying subscribed for!

Either way, the first 40ish chapters for each book will be free, that should be plenty of material to figure out if you enjoy the novel or not! It is practically half the book!
